Game: Stadium Level
Homecoming
Game is my ongoing narrative-driven project rooted in a nostalgic
Mid-western mythology. For my MFA show at the Berkeley Art Museum
in 2003, I focused on a decaying football stadium level sitting
below a menacing, tentacle-like umbilical cord. The main character
is a skinny, disemboweled football player who acts as the viewer's
avatar in this dystopic landscape. The project included a 25-foot
diorama, and CG animation of the level, and numerous drawings, paintings,
and clay maquettes.
